What is Naturopathy, anyway?

Naturopathy, is a holistic science-based approach for optimal well-being using the fundamental building blocks of:

  • healthy eating habits
  • stress management
  • physical exercise
  • environmental exposure

It also makes use of tools such as nutritional supplements, phytotherapy (medicinal herbs), aromatherapy, and homeopathy to name a few.

How does it work?

It is important to understand that a naturopath does not replace a doctor, but rather seeks to work alongside conventional medicine.

Together we will make individualized plans to work with the treatments already prescribed by your doctor. A naturopath does not treat illnesses – we instead guide the individual toward better overall health in order to better deal with specific situations.

Therefore, when you come to see me, you will not leave with a prescription for a ”natural pill” but rather some helpful suggestions on better lifestyle habits, eating habits, and products that can help you on your journey to health and well-being.
